Rock Climbing in Roque Nublo Mountains

Climbing is in our DNA since we are born, but we used to lose this skills when we grow up. Here you have a chance for connect with your body and the mountain. This activity was the beginning of the alpinism, the base for going to the mountains looking for adventures and challenges. It’s the perfect option for disconnect and stop your mind: your mind have to be focus only in the rock.

Many people think that for climbing you have to be very strong, but it’s not true. You only need a normal fitness and know how to move your body in an efficient way to use your skills to go up. The summit doesn’t mind, the important is how you feel the rock and enjoy that moment. Trust in us, trying climbing should be one of the must to do in your life.

What is the highest mountain of Gran Canaria? Morro de la Agujerada.

Pico de Las Nieves it’s the heart of the biggest volcano of Gran Canaria. The most of the people only can access Pico de Las NIeves, but our objective is Morro de la Agujerada, the real and majestic one. The landscape here is a dance between the mountains and the canary winds (Alisios). This sacred rock for aborigins will be the landscape that you will see while try the rock climbing.

Our route is definetely challenging, not a great idea for people scared of heights. We will climb (easy level) around the peak, but the height that surround this rock is impressive. You don’t need prior experience in climbing and it’s not at all physical demanding activity. But of course it’s a mental challenge to move in this environment.

Once we have reached the summit, we can write our names in the summit book, to leave a record that we have completed the most technical province peak of all Spain. Yes, you have done that! After this we will abseil down with ropes. The route for going down is a magical show, I swear it. When we finish down, you will be in a dream postcard: Ventana de la Gañifa, one of the most beautiful pictures that you can make in this island. Thanks that it’s still a hidden and with hard access place where you can enjoy the solitude of the mountain.

Multipitch 150 meters wall: hybrid Via Ferrata + Climbing. Other amazing experience that you can do in this zone is this Via Cordata, where we will climb 150 meters wall with tecniques of Via Ferrata, but with the standard safety system of the climbing. Awesome activity for climbers that want to experience the multipitch feeling.
